Over 50 people took part in the sponsored walk which covered approximately 30 miles, from Port Isaac to Bodmin on the Saturday, and then Bodmin to Menabilly Barton, near Fowey, on the Sunday.

“We want to say a big thank you to all the wonderful walkers who have helped raise money towards our work in Cornwall”, said Gill Mercer, Hft regional fund development manager for the West.
All funds raised by the walkers will go towards Hft’s services for people with learning disabilities in Cornwall.Hft has been active in Cornwall for many years running accommodation and day services for people with learning disabilities in two houses at Wadebridge, two houses in St Teath and three houses in St Austell.
Day care services are provided from a purpose built facility in Wadebridge and specialist services for individuals with autism are run from St Teath. In October 2005 Hft introduced East Cornwall’s’ first flexible short breaks service for adults with learning disabilities at Tregadillett near Launceston.
