Being a safe pair of hands is very important in our line of work. So we push to go beyond what the Care Standards Act asks of us.

Of course we want the people we support to reach their full potential. But we want you to as well. This is why we make all kinds of in-house and external training available as you progress. And your manager’s always on hand to talk about your learning objectives, and to arrange courses with you.

Our comprehensive induction programme is accredited by Open College Network within the Learning Disability Qualification standard.

So far we’ve helped 70% of support staff achieve a Health and Social Care NVQ Level 2 or 3. And we’re working hard to get it up to 100%

Likewise, managers undertake the NVQ Assessors Award, and Level 4 NVQs in Management and in Health and Social Care. We also encourage managers who work in community services to study for adult education qualifications.
