Tribute Funds

In recent years, an increasing number of people have asked us about ways to remember or honour someone special, and keep their spirit alive, by making gifts in their name to support our work.

Because of this feedback from supporters, we established a very special programme, called HFT Zinnia Funds. A Zinnia Fund is designed as a way to celebrate the life of someone close to you by ensuring that all your donations to HFT are in their memory.

Why a Zinnia Fund? The Zinnia Flower represents thoughts of absent friends, and in particular the yellow Zinnia stands for daily remembrance, extremely fitting for Tribute Funds.

How does it work? We set up a named Fund in honour of your loved one. All contributions into the Fund help make it grow and can provide a positive goal or focus for family members, whilst supporting our vital work.

Anyone can contribute in any way they wish. Some people participate in sponsored events, others decide to set up monthly gifts, and for some it is more appropriate to simply set up a gift on a special date to support the Fund. Bit by bit they can watch the Fund grow and know that every penny goes towards supporting adults with learning disabilities.

You can also set up a Zinnia webpage on justgiving.com yourself so people can give directly through the Internet. All donations come to HFT with gift aid if applicable.

'We set up a Zinnia Fund to honour the life of my father John Tanner who was deeply passionate about HFT, in particular Frocester Manor which was the first service of HFT. As a founding Member of the charity and a past Chairman he dedicated his life to developing and enhancing HFT. Setting up a Tribute Fund was a fitting way to celebrate his life and enable others to give to the charity he was part of. My family and I believe this is the most poignant way to remember a life well lived and to carry on his love for HFT."
