HFT offers discrete specialist services for a range of syndromes and complex support needs. 

 

We provide individually tailored services and specialist care for people with Autism, Prader Willi Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, Dementia and other syndromes.

 

Our specialist services are complimented by a large staff team qualified and trained to manage and support individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviour. We provide intensive support to enable them to develop their full potential, exercise their rights, make choices and learn new skills.

 

HFT has designed purpose- built specially adapted houses for people with special needs around the country, such as in Kent and Cornwall where we offer highly staffed, needs- led supported living for service users with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

 

Other specialist services include facilities for people with Dementia and Prader Willi Syndrome.

 

HFT also has individual services that are enabling people to '˜age in place', these are based on the individual needs of the person. Older people with learning disabilities are seen as people first and all services are therefore based on a '˜person centred plan'. Included in the plan are ways to ensure that the person remains a valued citizen, to maintain family and social networks and to receive the necessary range of medical, practical and emotional support. Since this is a growing area HFT is developing specific expertise in this field.
