FCSS Funding

HFT's Family Carer Support Service was established in 1996 after 3 years work researching the needs of family carers and piloting possible support systems with them. This preparatory work was funded by the Department of Health

After this we received financial support from Lloyds TSB and the Rank Foundation.

Between 2004 - 07, funding from the Big Lottery and Grand Charity enabled us to expand our services in response to the increasing demand for information and support.

The Department of Health  funded us to host and manage the National Family Carer Network and Health Foundation for our recent transition action research and EC support for our Russian parent support work.  In addition we undertake commissioned work.

We are fortunate to have some funding from the Rank Foundation,  but are also seeking further financial support for our work.
