The services at HFT Kingston are currently going through an exciting period of change, working in close partnership with the Royal Borough of Kingston (RBK). 

The main transformation is the way in which day services are offered to those individuals who have intensive and complex support needs.   The traditional '˜Intensive Support Unit' has been modernised, with skilled teams of support staff offering individualised, person centred services using a peripatetic, community based model. 

This will enable those service users who have a range of complex support needs to access a wider variety of experiences and activities,  with 1:1 support available to ensure community integration and inclusion is achieved.

Alternative use of part of Springfield Place is being actively discussed and options explored, in partnership with the Local Authority and PCT  .  Although discussions are not yet finalised, the plans will result in increased working partnerships with local resources. 

HFT Kingston is also working closely with RBK on developing supported living services. This presents exciting new opportunities and would provide the means for current service provision to develop and grow.
