David O’Neill
Chief Commercial Housing Officer
David is a proven director and senior manager with a track record of delivery and improvement in both property development and housing related operational roles.
He has nearly 30 years’ experience within the housing sector and care and support services, and has in-depth knowledge of the regulatory environment for social housing. His responsibilities have covered property management, development, asset management and business development and, in all his roles, he has operated within a regulated environment.
David joined Hft from Southampton City Council where he was the New Homes Lead (Interim Consultant), before which he was the Head of Investment at Places for People Living Plus (Supported Housing). Other previous roles include: over two years as Executive Director of Assets & Development at C&C Housing Trust and almost three years as Development Director at Lifeways.
