Tell us a bit about your background

I joined Hft as Director of Estates & Facilities in July 2012, before taking over responsibility for the IT department in 2013. I am a chartered surveyor with extensive experience in property management and development, and previously worked for a former NHS learning disabilities trust that was tasked with closing down long stay hospitals in Bristol in the early 00s. I have previously led successful programmes to reduce energy and carbon footprints in large building portfolios.

What’s your best ‘Hft moment’?

I’ve spent much energy at Hft helping devise standard design models and approaches to the new service buildings that we develop. One shining example of this is the recently completed Ryeford Court scheme near Stonehouse in Gloucestershire, where 12 people have been successfully rehoused in purpose-designed and futureproofed accommodation in a secure setting, within three standalone houses. This helped with the closure of and move on from the nearby Frocester Manor Campus site.
