Chief Strategy, Transformation & Innovation Officer
Tell us a bit about your background
Having started my career as a manufacturing system engineer in the Biotech sector, I then spent several years with a management consultancy delivering large scale transformation programmes and culture change in multi-national companies. On a mission to find greater purpose in my work, I joined the NHS in 2005, and have enjoyed leading strategic programmes and delivering transformation and growth through a number of roles in public and third sector organisations, mainly in the fields of mental health and learning disabilities. Just before joining Hft, I worked for Mind, the national mental health charity, and insights I gained there have also been invaluable in understanding the art of the possible for Hft in our privileged position as a charity.
What do you like about working at Hft?
So far, it’s been getting to know people across the business – I’m so impressed with how passionate people are about their work and how much they care about the people who we support, as well as their willingness to get involved in change and try new ideas.
“I feel very fortunate to be doing my ideal job with Hft – using my diverse skills and experience to make a difference through work I enjoy with a great bunch of people. I hope to inspire and support people across our organisation to unleash our ambition and creativity, transform, and build a bright future so that we can fulfil our shared mission of enabling the best life possible for people with learning disabilities for the next 60 years and beyond.”
