Anne-Marie Strong
Trustee
Anne-marie joined Hft’s Board of Trustees in 2023. She is a qualified barrister and practising solicitor, and has worked with local authorities since 2017, specialising in advising the adult social care sector.
Since 2019, Anne-marie has worked as a senior solicitor within a single local authority, developing policies and strategies to assist those with eligible care and support needs. She also works to uphold and reinforce legal and compliance frameworks, to ensure everyone who comes into contact with the local authority benefits from these.
Prior to this, Anne-marie worked in private practice for several years, and carried out civil litigation on a freelance basis for 10 years.
She first encountered Hft during her involvement in a commissioning exercise as part of her current public sector role. Annemarie is also godmother to a friend’s daughter, who has a learning disability, and strives to ensure that those of any age, with any learning disability, should be able to access every opportunity for a respected and fulfilled life.
