Lesley Hutchinson
Lesley has been a qualified social worker since 1995, and has dedicated her career to working with adults and children in need of care and support. She had worked for a small charity for six years setting up services for people who were homeless or who had drug and alcohol problems, following which she went to work for Local Authorities developing their strategic plans to support people in need of care and support, then monitoring the quality of services.
Lesley has held senior manager positions in two local authorities and has specialist experience and interest in safeguarding adults, adults with a learning disability and commissioning.
Lesley first came across Hft when she was the Supporting People Manager for B&NES Council where she reviewed the quality of the service provided in Bath. She strongly believes that adults with a learning disability and those with autism should have every opportunity to lead a fulfilling life with appropriate support.
