Tell us a bit about your background
I am a Chartered Surveyor, and have enjoyed a long career with a major FTSE property company with responsibility for its shopping centre development and management division. I’ve also served on the board of a prominent Housing Association based in West London and as a trustee of a long-established Richmond charity with significant property assets.
My other interests include family, travel, theatre and classic cars.
What made you decide to become a Trustee for Hft?
I actually became a Trustee of Self Unlimited in 2011 and then Hft in 2013 following the merger between the two charities. With property in use for the provision of both homes and services for Hft, I’m particularly interested in its efficient management and use within a strategy which also properly considers investment issues around the charity’s real estate acquisitions and disposals.
