Hft is pleased to announce that we have today achieved Recognised Provider status under the Skills for Care Endorsement Framework – a mark of quality that is awarded only to providers that deliver the best learning and development programmes in the adult social care sector.
Skills for Care developed the framework to help ensure excellent training for social care staff. In gaining Recognised Provider status, Hft have proved that we:
- support excellence,
- have good processes in place,
- deliver courses that are relevant and fit for purpose, and
- can demonstrate that the people we have trained are now delivering better support as a result of what they have learnt.
Becoming a recognised provider means going through a rigorous application in order to prove that we meet robust quality assurance processes and the criteria for being an Approved Provider. An added benefit of going through the application process is that it provides a great opportunity to further review our own practice and give us an opportunity to consider and reflect on how we do things. It helped us see what we do really well but, more importantly, also helped us consider what we can do to become even better providers of learning and development.

We have lots of new ideas and exciting projects in the pipeline to help us become even better providers of learning and development opportunities, and we believe continuous improvement is essential if we are to ensure that Hft remains a provider of quality, personalised services to adults with learning disabilities.
We’re also now one of just 41 training providers who hold this accolade.
