This year’s annual Wrag Barn Charity Golf Day in Highworth, sponsored by Haines Watts Swindon, has raised a record £14,652 for Hft, a charity that supports learning disabled adults to live the best life possible.
The annual fundraising event took place on 24 May and saw nearly 80 golfers enjoy an 18-hole course, a brunch put on by Wrag Barn Golf Club, and an auction and raffle, all with the purpose of raising money for the learning disability charity.
The amount raised is the most in the golf day’s 34-year history.
The funds raised this year will go towards core funded projects including care matters, support practitioners and Hft’s friendship service, Luv2MeetU.
This is the fourth year that the accountancy firm has sponsored the event and is one which is very close to the hearts of everyone involved.
