Who can be involved?
If you have lived experience of a learning disability we would love for you to get involved. This could mean that you have a learning disability or you support someone with a learning disability – through paid work, as a family member or as a friend.
What is Walk in Our Shoes?
Signing up to the Walk in Our Shoes Network means that you will receive our easy-read newsletters, telling you about ways to get involved.
Here are some of the things that you could get involved with:
- Taking part in a survey
- Telling your story
- Speaking on the radio
- Speaking with MPs at a parliamentary event
These actions ensure that our work at Hft is informed by the voices of learning disabled adults. This means that when we talk to people like MPs, journalists or people considering donating to Hft we can tell them about your ideas and experiences.
