Supported Living Worker – 1:1 Support
Hours: Part-time – 30 hours per week – daytime hours – permanent
Salary: £7.50 per hour aged 21 and over or £7.26 per hour between the ages 18-20, both rising to £7.66 per hour on successful completion of probation and Health & Social Care Diploma/NVQ Level 2
The role in Neston is to support a man with learning disabilities. He likes to go out and about travelling by bus, boat and train and enjoys attending local community events. This will involve driving an Hft car. The role also involves support with personal care.
To be a successful Supported Living Worker having the right values, confidence and attitudes is more important than experience. We provide fantastic training opportunities, through a comprehensive induction programme which includes any specialist training specific to the individuals we support. Must be Makaton trained or prepared to undertake full Makaton training. We also support and encourage our employees to develop their careers through NVQ courses.

Reports to: Service Manager, Senior Supported Living Worker
This job is important because:
You will enable the people we support to lead fulfilling lives based upon their personal support needs. You need to work to the standards set internally (by Hft) and externally (for example, by the Care Quality Commission), doing all you can to make sure that the people we support and your colleagues come to no harm and that the people we support are satisfied with the level of support they receive. You will achieve this by communicating with individuals and by following the underpinning principles of Person Centred Active Support (PCAS):
As we provide 24/7 support you need to be able to work shifts, including weekends, some nights and Bank Holidays. You will also be required to accompany people we support on holidays and attend training courses and other activities.
