There’s no such thing as a “typical day” for one of our Casual Relief Support Workers. You could be supporting someone with personal care in the morning, going shopping or to a local cafe in the afternoon.
Sometimes it’s challenging, but it’s always rewarding. You’ll go to work knowing that you’re making a positive difference to someone’s life. You’ll be working in a team of skilled, dedicated colleagues committed to doing the same and they will support you along the way.
Relief posts are completely flexible; you choose the hours you want to work, covering staff holidays and absence.

As an Hft Casual Relief Worker you’ll be supporting adults with learning disabilities within your community. Covering leave, training and sickness within our supported living services, with hours that fit in with life’s other commitments; this is an ideal way of discovering if this is the career for you.
You don’t need experience of support work or any special qualifications for this job; what matters most is your positive attitude to life and your desire to support people to live their own life with as much independence, choice, dignity and control as possible.
What Hft can offer you

With Investors in People and Skills for Care accreditation we are committed to investing in our teams to ensure that they have the specialist skills and expertise needed to support people with the most complex needs to live the best life possible.
