Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £7.66 rising to £8.12 per hour (dependent on successful completion of probation and Health & Social Care Diploma/NVQ Level 2)

About the role
This role involves working with adults who have learning disabilities. Hft Redditch is expanding and as a result we are seeking enthusiastic and motivated people to join our existing dynamic team.
It’s a really interesting, rewarding job and very different to the usual nine to five – no specific experience or qualifications are required.
You will need to be flexible as we require staff to work shifts, including nights/weekends.
We also require applicants to have a full UK/EU driving licence.

Job Description – Support Worker Short Breaks
Where you will be working: Redditch Replacement Services – a service providing a short break for up to 5 people each night. This service is provided to meet the needs of the people we support and their families, sometimes at short notice as the need arises and will normally range from a stay of one day/night, to a maximum of two weeks.
Reports to: Registered Cluster Manager, Senior Support Worker
This job is important because:
You will enable the people we support to lead fulfilling lives based upon their personal support needs. You need to work to the standards set internally (by Hft) and externally (for example, by the Care Quality Commission), doing all you can to make sure that the people we support and your colleagues come to no harm and that the people we support are satisfied with the level of support they receive. You will achieve this by communicating with individuals and by following the underpinning principles of Person Centred Active Support (PCAS):
As we provide 24/7 support you need to be able to work shifts, including weekends, some nights and Bank Holidays. You will also be required to accompany people we support on holidays and attend training courses and other activities.
