Luv2meetU Online gives learning disabled and autistic people the opportunity to access an exciting range of national virtual events. This offers you the chance to meet new people and make friends across the UK.

You’ll be able to take part in online events using a range of digital platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom and social media, including Facebook.

What sort of things can I get involved in?

You can join in a range of activities such as quizzes, sporting activities, cooking, craft sessions, workshops, music nights, karaoke, film and book clubs, and party nights.

We also run a variety of different educational workshops based on different topics. These include staying safe online, relationships, mental health, and wellbeing.

Activities are based on feedback received from our members. You can put forward your ideas at regular ‘Have your say’ meetings.

Events take place at varying times including during the day, in the evenings, and at weekends.

What our members think

“Since I’ve joined Luv2meetU, I’ve now got friends up and down the country. Before I joined, the only friends I had were just in my area. It gives me a break from the other people I live with. I can just come into my room, shut my door, and my mind focuses on the events.” Jon

“I feel like it’s very important for us all to have these virtual sessions as otherwise we would be isolated.” Rachael

“[Virtual Events make me feel] comfortable and making lots of friends and making friends helps with anxiety.” David

Helping you get online

If you need support to access the virtual events, we can provide this. If you require one-to-one support during the activities, you’ll need to arrange for someone to help you.

Luv2meetU Online is keen to ensure everybody who wants to can join in. If you’re struggling to afford to join, please contact us to discuss how we may be able to help you.
