Automatic doors

For people who struggle to open doors or have physical disabilities, the simple act of moving from one room to another or going outside can represent a barrier to independence either because it’s not easily achievable, or because the person affected is reliant on the presence of a third party.

Adapting a regular door into an automatic door can make a big difference in increasing a person’s self-reliance by ensuring their freedom to move around isn’t limited.

Automatic doors can be opened in different ways, such as by simply pushing a button or a touch pad or via an app on a tablet device, and can be programmed to stay open for specific periods of time before automatically closing.  They also come equipped with safety features such as sensors that stop them from closing when someone is still in the doorway.
