Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) solutions
A variety of different devices, such as a flashing beacon or vibrating pillow alert, that are used to alert individuals with hearing or visual impairments that there may be an issue. For example these devices can be linked into the fire alarm and alert when the alarm goes off.
Devices such as smoke alarms help ensure people’s safety by alerting them to danger, usually through use of loud, attention catching alarms. But for someone with hearing loss, a regular smoke alarm would be of little use in an emergency, as they might not be able to hear it.
