Virtual reality (VR) head sets are a great tool that enable the person to immerse themselves in a variety of different environments within the safety of their own home.
Virtual Reality (VR) gives people the opportunity to experience environments and situations that they are not usually exposed to or that make them feel anxious, such as going to the Doctor, or busy public places. As well as being great for gaming and fun activities, VR can be a useful training tool for people, and can also provide people with a range of different sensory experiences.
In order to use a VR headset, you will also need apps – either for the game, or the sensory experience/environment. Apps can be accessed via the appropriate device’s app store; some are free and some you have to pay for.
There are many free to view VR experiences available on YouTube.
