This December, we’re inviting you to host a festive Hftea party. This is a chance for learning disabled adults, services, friends, families and our wider community to come together and enjoy the festive season.
Around 1.5 million adults in the UK have a learning disability, each with their own ambitions, interests and ideas about what makes a good life. At Hft, we work alongside learning disabled adults to create more opportunities for choice, independence and connection. Whether that’s finding a job, making a home their own or trying something new, it’s about supporting people to live life on their terms.
Now, more than ever, we need your help to ensure that we can continue to provide the best support possible

Then all you have to do is pop the kettle on, bring your bakes and celebrate the festive period!
It could provide someone with a one cup kettle that helps them safely make a cup of tea without needing the assistance of a support worker.

How do I raise money?
There are lots of ways to raise money, you could charge guests on the door, you could arrange some fun activities like a quiz, fancy dress, auction yummy baked goods, live bake-a-thon or decorating games!
What are the best ways to promote my It’s Hftea time party?
We recommend promoting it on your social channels. You could send out personal invites that way or by email or phone. Once invited keep everyone updated and excited for the big day, set up a WhatsApp or Facebook group to do this.
