As the days get shorter, and temperatures drop on the approach to winter, learning disabled people in England and Wales face many challenges – and so do the people who support and care for them.
Donate TodayWe know that life can be complicated for everybody. But some of us are stopped from working towards our dreams and aspirations. Many learning disabled people can’t live where they choose, with whom they choose. Some don’t get to decide what they do for work. How to spend or save money. There are hobbies they want to try. Choices they want to make. An independent life is out of reach. We believe that’s wrong and want to change it.
Our front-line staff in Social Care go above and beyond each day to ensure that adults with learning disabilities receive the very best care. Our care is so much more than simply surviving we support people to thrive.

£20 could help fund an individual to attend a workshop that helps learning disabled adults to develop the skills to speak up and make choices about their own lives with confidence.

£50 could help fund technology such as bed sensors or fingerprint locks, which can help someone to live independently in their own home.

£75 could help provide one family with the opportunity to attend a specialist workshop, to provide them with the knowledge they need to access the support they so desperately need, whether it’s care, financial or emotional.

£100 could help fund alert systems in sleep in rooms, helping our front-line teams provide safe overnight care.
Your contribution, no matter the amount, can make a profound impact on the lives of those who need it most and be a source of light during the darkest months.
In every donation and every gesture of support, we are creating a brighter, more inclusive tomorrow. So join us, and help to change the lives of learning disabled people for the better, so that they can live the best life possible.
