Join us to celebrate 60 years of Hft whilst connecting with others in your community to help combat loneliness and isolation.
There’s something special about walking and talking with someone – it’s a fantastic way to boost health and well being, to beat loneliness and isolation through conversation (who doesn’t love a good chat about the weather?) A great way to deepen existing connections with old friends. A lot of conversational and physical ground can be covered on a walk!
Your Walk & Talk can be a walk that works for you. You choose the location and route – it can be as long, short, big or small as you like.
You can walk to talk, to celebrate 60 years of Hft, to combat
loneliness and isolation, in memory of someone, to meet people and connect with your community… whatever you like whilst raising money for people with a learning disability.
It’s your walk, your way.
This is a challenge for all ages and abilities – we just want you to get active, have fun and support Hft.
Not for you?
If Walk & Talk is not for you, there are still plenty of ways to support our work.
If you’re looking for a great challenge, why not head over to our events page to get inspired. Or if challenges are not for you, head over to our fundraising ideas page to get inspired!
If you sign up to Hft’s Walk & Talk we will ask you to complete a short form on the Hft website. You will be asked to provide your title, name, address, postcode, email address, contact phone number plus your contact preferences. We need this information in order to process your sign up and send out your fundraising pack.
We will also use your email address to send you news and updates about Hft if you opt into receiving information in this way.
Information provided to us by people completing the form on our website will only be used for the purpose of working with supporters interested in taking on a Walk & Talk event in aid of Hft, and providing information through communication channels that have been opted in to.
