Budding photographers showcase Cornwall’s beauty in charity calendar

Members of the resource centre photography group and Coast photography group have been busy snapping away

Pictures of Cornish beauty spots taken by a budding team of photographers have featured in a new charity calendar

Members of Hft Wadebridge’s photography club based at resource centre and members of Hft St Austell’s Coast Group have spent the last several months taking pictures of local landmarks and beauty spots.

Club members enjoyed a number of trips to locations including Restormel Castle in Lostwithiel, The Camel Trail and Lerryn to capture the images.

A selection of pictures were chosen to feature in the 2026 calendar.

The calendar has now gone on sale with all proceeds being ploughed back into the photography club to buy a new camera and a printer.

The photography club meets every Wednesday.

Club member Jade said: “It was great to go out and about and explore and visit new places across Cornwall.

“I am pleased with the pictures the group took and it was hard to choose which ones should feature in the calendar.”

Budding photographer Toby said: “I really enjoyed our trips out taking pictures and I am excited to see the finished calendar.

“I will be buying one for myself and also for my family.”

This is the second year the photography group has produced a charity calendar.

Money raised from sales of last year’s calendar went towards new equipment for the club.

The photography club is run by support worker Fay Martin.

The calendar is designed by support worker Dave Hatton, who also runs the Coast activity group based at the resource centre.

Dave said: “The group has worked really hard on this year’s calendar and have produced some really impressive images.”

The calendars, priced at £9, will be available to purchase at the resource centre.
