Handmade decorations bring Christmas magic to village church festival

A Christmas tree decked with decorations made by people we support in Devon has gone on display at a village church.

Festive fun lovers at Oak Tree House, Bampton, spent an afternoon crafting with clay, making the decorations for the seasonal fir.

The tree was covered in the handmade items – including mini Christmas trees and baubles – and delivered to St Michael and All Angels Church in the village to feature in its annual Christmas tree festival.

The annual festival features trees decorated from a number of community groups and organisations in the village.

The Christmas craft session was organised by support worker Jo Kingdon.

Sue, who made a number of decorations, said: “Making the Christmas decorations was fun and I am excited to see the tree in the display.”

Oak Tree House has been turned into a winter wonderland this year with three trees – decorated by the people we support – taking pride of place.
