Oaktree House windows burst into colour for Bampton children’s book trail
Annie and Fran enjoyed painting the designs
Colourful designs have been painted on windows at a Hft residential service in Devon – as part of a village Book Trail.
People we support at Oaktree House in Bampton have been busy creating the designs on the front windows of the building.
The artwork was created as part of the Bampton Book Trail, which this year is themed around children’s books.
The windows at Oaktree have been decorated with the theme from The Stick Man which was chosen by the individuals who live there.
The design features trees, dogs, rabbits and birds – and of course The Stick Man.
Annie and Fran were assisted by support worker Buffy to paint the designs.

Robbie and housemate and Brian, who live independently in the village with support from Hft have also taken part – decorating the windows at their property in the theme of Wicked and the Wizard of Oz, two of their favourite books.
Buffy said: “Both Annie and Fran really enjoyed getting involved with the painting.
“Annie got covered in paint!
“It makes a nice bright addition to Oaktree.”

The trail, organised as part of Book Week, runs from March 6-23.
Windows have been decorated across the village, with people being invited to follow the trail to find all of them.
The trail has been organised by Bampton Library and Resource Centre.
