Tracy to take on Bristol Half Marathon to raise money for Hft
She has set herself a target of raising £500
A Bristol mum is taking on the AJ Bell Great Bristol Run Half Marathon to raise funds for learning disabled adults after seeing first-hand the difference the right support can make.
Tracy, Director of Finance at Hft, will join thousands of runners on 10 May to complete the 13.1 mile challenge, aiming to raise £500 for the charity.
She’ll be running alongside her daughter Delphi and close friend Agnese, with family and friends cheering her on.
Tracy, 61, who lives in Bristol and joined Hft in 2023, says the challenge is deeply personal.
“Every day, I see the impact Hft has in supporting learning disabled adults to live independently and with confidence,” she said.
“I’ve seen the strength and drive of the people we support and that’s what motivates me to take this on.
“It’s going to be a challenge, but thinking about why I’m doing it will keep me going.”

Tracy has been training for several months and is looking forward to crossing the finish line with her daughter. She hopes to complete the challenge in under two and a half hours.
She is now calling on the Bristol community to support her fundraising effort and help more learning disabled adults live the lives they choose.
