If you have a learning disability or autism and want support to find and keep a paid job, we can help. Our supported employment programme could be right for you.
How our supported employment programmes work
When you start on our programme, you will have an Employability Coach. Their job is to support you with finding a job and keeping a job.
When they first start working with you, your Employability Coach will help you to complete a Vocational Profile. This is an assessment of skills, what you want in a job, and your experiences. It will help to make sure that we give you the right type of help and support.
Your Employability Coach can then support you to:
-
Search for the right types of jobs which suit your skills and preferences
-
Write a CV
-
Apply for jobs
-
Prepare for and attend an interview
-
Learn how to complete the tasks needed in your job
-
Complete training
-
Communicate with your colleagues and employer
-
Manage changes in your job and workplace.
