Rachael always goes above and beyond in whatever she does in her life. She’s embraced every opportunity to speak up about the barriers faced by learning disabled people and is always looking to make change.
Recently, Rachael was recognised for her hard work. She’s been nominated for the Regional British Care Awards!
The regional awards are part of the Great British Care Awards, a series of regional events throughout the UK. They’re a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The awards pay tribute to those who’ve demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field or work.
Rachael, who’s a member of our L2MU service, the Walk in Our Shoes and Voices for our Future networks, have been nominated for the Care Innovator Award. This prestigious award recognises people for exceptional entrepreneurial skills in identifying, developing, implementing and establishing a new service.
If Rachael is successful in winning her regional award, she will then go onto the national awards taking place in 2025 at the ICC in Birmingham.
Rachael said: “I’m so proud of myself. Always believe in yourself, as anything is possible.’
Congratulations on your nomination Rachael, whatever the outcome, your contributions to society are already award-winning in our eyes!
