Date: 15th December 2022

Location: Dorchester Abbey, Dorchester-on-Thames, OX10 7HH

Event Type: Christmas Event

Registration Fee: From £20

You are invited to The Coming of Christmas

The historic Abbey – beautifully decorated for Christmas – will be bathed in the glow of candles and Christmas lights at a special evening of festive music and readings.

We are delighted to announce that The Donaghue Concert will be joining us this year. The Concert features an octet of up-and-coming young professionals, all of whom work as freelance choral singers and soloists. Hailing from different parts of the country, their singers are employed by choirs including Canterbury Cathedral, Birmingham Cathedral, St John’s College Cambridge, Queens’ College Cambridge, as well as Magdalen and Christchurch College Oxford. Outside of church singing, their singers regularly perform with top choral groups, whilst maintaining portfolio careers made up of concerts, recording, choral conducting and teaching.

Doors open at 6pm for a 7pm start. General admission to the event is £20, or why not treat yourself to a VIP package for just £30? Take your pick of – and prebook – the best seats in the house and enjoy a VIP refreshment.

The evening is also an opportunity to celebrate our 60th birthday. We’re incredibly proud to have delivered 60 years of life changing care and support to adults with a learning disability across the UK.

Join us on this special evening at Dorchester Abbey as we look ahead to our next 60 years and beyond, creating a future where adults with a learning disability can live their best life possible.
