Host an Hftea Party… Every cuppa, every cake and every pound you raise helps us support people with learning disabilities and autism
Date: 1st July 2021 - 31st August 2021
Location: Various
Event Type: Family Friendly Events
This summer, Hft is asking you to brew the nation’s favourite beverage and host your very own Hftea party.
Whether you’re throwing a Mad Hatter’s tea party or a garden tea party, when it boils down to it, we’d be delighted if you could host your very own tea party to help raise funds for people with learning disabilities and autism.
Around 1.5 million adults in the UK have a learning disability, many of whom will need support in order to live and have choices in life.
Hft is a national charity that supports people with learning disabilities and autism. We offer people the kind of help support and encouragement that helps them have choice to live the best life possible. This can range from finding someone a job, to helping them make friends, to adapting their home so that they can enjoy new levels of independence.
Now, more than ever, we need your help to ensure that we can continue to provide the best support.
We’re inviting you to host an Hftea Party this July anywhere you fancy, at home, at friends or in the park.
Then all you have to do is pop the kettle, bake the cakes and have the most teariffic time ever!
Its win, win, win when you host your very own Hftea time party…
With three great prizes generously donated, you have the chance of winning either:
You will automatically be entered in to the draw if you raise more than £50 by the 9th August 2021.
Terms & Conditions
How does it work?
You will be entered in to the It’s Hftea time prize draw if you have raised £50 or more by midnight on the 9th August 2021.
How old do I need to be?
The It’s Hft prize draw is open to all hosts aged 16 and over. We regret that any prizes won where the named host is under 16 will immediately be forfeit.
When and how will the prize draw be done?
The prize draw will take place at 12pm on Friday 13th August 2021. Winners will be picked at random using an automated computer system. Each host will have a unique serial number, this serial number that will be used to determine the winner.
How will prizes be allocated?
Prizes will be allocated according to the order in which tickets are drawn. The first ticket drawn will win the first prize listed above; and so on.
How will I know if I have won?
If you’re one of our lucky winners, we will contact you by phone or email within seven days of the draw, using the contact details you provided when you signed up to host a party. Prizes will be sent out to your postal address or, where appropriate, by email. If your contact details change before the date of the draw, please contact us.
A full list of winners will be listed on this page from Monday 16th August 2021.
How will tea and cake help Hft?
It could provide someone with a one cup kettle that helps them safely make a cup of tea without needing the assistance of a support worker.
How do I host an Hfttea party?
Sign up and our fundraising pack contains lots of information and inspiration; simply everything you need to have the best tea party ever.
How do I raise money?
The simplest way is to set up your own fundraising page online, which is linked to Hft. It means your guests don’t have to bring cash, and can even donate at any time they want.
There are lots of ways to raise money, you could charge guests on the door, you could arrange some fun activities like a quiz, fancy dress, auction yummy baked goods, live bake-a-thon or decorating games!
What are the best ways to promote my It’s Hftea time party?
We recommend promoting it on your social channels. You could send out personal invites that way or by email or phone. Once invited keep everyone updated and excited for the big day, set up a WhatsApp or Facebook group to do this.
Don’t worry if a cuppa isn’t your drink. You can still support Hft by making a donation to Hft
Congratulations to all of our prize draw winners of Its Hftea time. All winners will be contacted by email.
Thank you for your support.
