It’s been a scary and daunting time for everyone due to Covid-19, and particularly for people with learning disabilities and autism who can find the changes to life even harder to understand. As restrictions are easing, people with learning disabilities are still very much at risk.

So, this summer, we’re asking you to brew the nation’s favourite beverage and host your very own Big Virtual Hftea Party to raise money for Hft. Scroll down to sign up!

Whether you’re catching up over a cuppa with friends online or getting the whole office involved, you’ll be doing something amazing for people with learning disabilities.

Every penny you raise at your Virtual Hftea Party can help to ensure people with learning disabilities and Hft frontline staff are given the support they need throughout these difficult times.

Your safety is our priority, so please do keep an eye on the Government’s Covid-19 advice to make sure you can host your virtual Hftea party in a safe way.

Hftea Party FAQs

The money you raise could help pay for someone to be given a one cup kettle that helps them safely make a cup of tea without needing the assistance of a support worker.
There are lots of ways to raise money; you could charge guests on the (virtual) door, you could arrange some fun activities like a quiz, run a fancy dress competition, auction yummy baked goods, hold a live bake-a-thon or play some decorating games!
Our fundraising pack contains lots of information and inspiration; if you need any help just give us a call!
You can pick any time and date that works for you, your friends and family!
We recommend promoting it on your social channels. You could send out personal invites that way or by email or phone. Once invited keep everyone updated and excited for the big day - set up a WhatsApp or Facebook group to do this.
